After 32 years as a teacher, 26 years in Hadley, Janet Barrett is comfortable with all age groups and all subject matter. However, after having technology installed in her classroom this summer, it has been a pretty steep learning curve. Despite having no background in the use of technology in teaching, Janet recognized the need to make her third grade classroom into a space for 21st century learners. She has worked hard, alongside her students, learning how to access and use various web sites, how to write simple code and how to use the whiteboard in her classroom to engage her students.

Third Grade worked on programming a Light-Bot and then wrote about the 3 things they learned, the 2 interesting facts about the lightbots and 1 question that they still had. Their answers went into a Google Form and then we put them into Wordle.
